Apple fritter recipe

Apple fritter recipe
Ingredients:

1.5 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons applesauce

1/3 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 large apples, peeled, cored and cut into cubes
Vegetable oil for frying
For the glaze:
1/4 cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
Mix flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl.
Add applesauce and cinnamon and mix well.
Whisk together the milk and eggs in a separate bowl, then add to the dry ingredients and beat until
smooth.
Carefully add the diced apples. Heat
vegetable oil (about 2 inches deep) in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches
375°F.Using a spoon, spoon the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, making sure it is
fully cooked, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Work in groups to avoid overcrowding.
Remove the donuts from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to
drain off excess oil.
For the glaze:
Mix the milk, powdered sugar and vanilla extract to create a smooth, pourable consistency.
